Aaron Davis

Aaron Davis, sponsored by Ackerman-Estvold Enginering, will speak at the keynote breakfast on June 8 about performing like a champion, under pressure, from personal experience. As a member of the 1994 National Championship Nebraska football team and working with numerous corporations and organizations, he understands firsthand what it takes to perform like a champion and experience incredible results both personally and professionally.

Dr. Robert Boyd

Dr. Robert Boyd, sponsored by North Dakota AARP, will be presenting at the luncheon on Thursday, June 7. Dr. Boyd retired from the University of North Dakota in 2011 where he served as Dean of Outreach Programs and Vice President for Student and Outreach Services. With more than 32 years of business and leadership experience Dr. Boyd has a special interest and expertise in the areas of leadership, organizational change, planning and ethics. His application of this expertise has won him recognition from a variety of sources.

Bob Upgren

Our final keynote speaker at the Friday, June 8 luncheon is Bob Upgren. Bob is one of the best performing chalk artists in the world, using this amazing talent to create life-changing metaphors that reinforce his message. He is the authoritative voice on artistic leadership, and uses his unique ideas to inspire groups to become more creative, innovative and visionary.

Fargo Beer Company is a microbrewery that started in Fargo in 2010. The company was launched by Aaron Hill and three other founders, its first product, Wood Chipper IPA, was released in 2011. Fargo Beer Co. currently has three products in markets across North Dakota and western Minnesota. Plans to build a Fargo brewery are scheduled for 2013. Aaron provides marketing/branding, sales communications, public relations, promotions, community involvement and event coordination.

Sweet & Flour Patisserie, Inc. is the vision and current project of Chef Shanda Cool. This European inspired pastry cafe' has the mission to bring French influenced pastries and breads to Minot, using the most incredible and wholesome ingredients, baked using proper artisan traditions. In 2009, Chef Shanda decided to fulfill her lifelong dream and attended the California Culinary Academy, Le Cordon Bleu, in San Francisco. She graduated as a Pastry Chef with highest honors, assisted in the opening of the popular American Cupcake restaurant on Union St. in S.F. and has worked and trained with many great chefs at the Carneros Inn in Napa Valley and at 10 North Main in Minot, ND.

Presented by: Nobu Hata is a member of the National Association of Realtor's (NAR) Strategic Planning Committee, the chairperson of NAR's Young Professionals National Subcommittee, and a member of 2013 NAR President Gary Thomas's leadership team.
Session Summary As a real estate industry venteran since 1996 and a practicing Realtor in the state of Minnesota, Nobu has studied various marketing, communications trends, social media, and technology all of which he has put to use in his personal business. YP Network Idea Share Friday, June 8, 9:30am
Facilitated by Laurie Morse-Dell and Melissa Korslien. Laurie is the North Dakota Young Professionals Network Coordinator and Melissa Korslien serves as a member of the North Dakota Young Professionals Netowrk Leadership Task Force.
Session Summary: Back by popular demand, the YP Idea Share will again serve as a way for your YP network to learn from other networks from across the region. This breakout will be split into several round table discussions focusing the successful areas of each network in attendance. This session runs from 9:45am to 11:30am so stop in for the whole session or join after the other breakout sessions are over.

Presented by Josh Reimnitz, a Co-Executive Director of the youth leadership nonprofit Students Today Leaders Forever.
Session Summary: Students Today Leaders Forever, works to energize generations of servant leaders by engaging students in middle school, high school and college. Josh will share his experiences as a past member of Students Today Leaders Forever and now leader within the organization. Through these experiences he'll energize YPs, providing an understanding for recognizing and cultivating leaders within your organization.

Presenters: Kayla Shafer and Molly Sullivan are FAST Facilitated Leadership Certified, Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals Network Executive Team, and Government Affairs Specialists at Kadrmas, Lee & Jackson.
Session Summary: Running a business, organization, career and your life is complicated without a plan! We will give you tools to break down problems or assumptions and create a dynamic strategic plan identifying specific goals and objectives. Working with a team also presents challenges. We will provide tips and tricks to build consensus and help your team maintain focus without getting lost in the weeds during planning sessions.
